Same as Ever: A Guide to What Never Changes

Same as Ever is a series of personal vignettes, highlighting a universal principle—risk, fulfillment, the power of stories—that hasn't changed despite the world's constant evolution. There's no central thesis to the book, other than "there's a lot of wisdom out there that is easily missed if you focus on what's happening now". Many of the principles are not quite falsifiable either, with Housel focusing on giving a broad understanding than offering specific tools to predict the future with any reasonable accuracy. It's not quite Malcolm Gladwell levels of hand-waving story telling, but certainly not hyper-tactical.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read, and if you enjoy thinking about timeless wisdom principles, I recommend it.
